Who are we?
This group was started by daughter and mother pair, Loewi and Amy. Loewi was disappointed in the amount of substance available to her as a teen . . . and Amy couldn't help but wholeheartedly agree. After years of complaining amongst themselves, they decided they couldn't complain if they weren't willing to do something about it themselves. And here we are.
This is our WELCOME video where we play two of our own games to tell you why we started this group
Get to know Amy
Amy has taught aerial dance for 20 plus years which has made her very experienced in getting people out of their comfort zones and feeling more playful. She is also a personal growth dork who hates the fact that most personal growth stuff gets too airy fairy and preachy for people to be able to enjoy it. It is a personal pet peeve of hers that when asked about their inner world or depth, people generally think the subject is so abstract and cumbersome that it can't possibly be fun. So, several years ago, she made games that were intended to show just how fun and enlivening deeply connecting with yourself and others can be. Unfortunately, the business didn't take off like she had hoped. Loewi loved the games though and started playing them on video calls with her friends for game night — and so the basic idea for this group was born. (We play weekly games using many of Amy's original games, upgraded, as well as new ones, too).
Get to know Loewi
Loewi was a little hesitant about being the leader of a group because she is more of the quiet type, but she realizes that if she won't step out there and get something like this started, who will? I mean, maybe someone . . . but she isn't willing to just sit around and wait. She wants to spend time with quality people, doing quality things, and finding that has been harder than she thought. So here we are . . . Loewi is speaking up and Amy is pulling out her games. And, we are adding all kinds of other fun features like live chats on talk topics (totally fashioned after the talks that Amy and Loewi have when they push pause in the middle of whatever they are watching and have a whole philosophy tangent sesh), small group gift circles (something that Amy and Loewi enjoy doing in another group they participate in — Loewi has gotten great at postmarking packages to folks!) And, we are doing it all inside of Mighty Networks so we have our own private community with all the features we would ever want! (We have an ongoing "best song lyrics" post that we are hoping becomes epic).
Get to know our Team Member Emma
Emma started as an aerial student of Amy’s and quickly became a friend and valuable Team Member for No One Can Tell Us. She is helping us grow and make this group the best it can be.
Introduce yourself
If you want to come hang with us, please do. You can even take a look around for free. Help us make this community everything we dreamed it would be — and everything YOU need it to be — because that is ultimately what will be the greatest success to us.
“I enjoy getting to see the reactions and realizations the games inspire in others. It inspires me immensely when others learn and grow, or even just get exposed to new and interesting things.”
